"Exploring the World" Art Camp (ages 7-12)
Students will depict various scenes from around the world using soft pastels to create beautiful, frame-worthy pieces of art. As always, Karine will draw along with her students and introduce them to drawing and rendering techniques.
Time: 2-4 PM
- Ages: 7-12
- Fee: $50 per student (due at first class)

- June 22 - 25, 2009 at the home of Holly Ramsey in Naperville

"Exploring Art Careers" Camps (ages 10-18)
Introduce your 10-18 year olds to various careers in the art and design world. No previous drawing or design experience is necessary, just a desire to learn and try new things.
All camps: $60 per student
Exploring Art Careers I: Textiles
Students will explore the careers of interior decorating, textile, and fashion design by designing fabric patterns and using them to decorate a room and create a line of clothing. Students will come home with a portfolio of fabric designs, a room board, and drawings of their fashion creations.

Exploring Art Careers II: Marketing
Students will “invent” a new product and create a logo, a package design, and a magazine ad for it. Parents will be invited to a product display at the end of the week. Elements of design and advertising principles will be introduced as students "launch" their marketing campaign.

Outdoor Nature Art Workshops (ages 7- adult)
 Bring the whole family out for any or all of these on-location art classes. We will meet at various scenic locations in the area (see below for schedule) and draw nature together.
Several project ideas and mediums will be available at each outing so that students can create a variety of drawings that focus on the big picture as well as the details of nature.
Ages: 7- adult *
Fees:
- 1-2 classes: $7 per class
- 3-4 classes: $6 per class
- 5 classes: $5 per class
- 3+ students from one family, take $1 off per child per class
Supplies needed:
Just bring a lawn chair or blanket and something rigid to lean on, like a large book or clipboard.

OPEN HOUSE - Come out for a look at the classes that The Learning Vine has to offer for homeschoolers in the Naperville, IL area. We have an large assortment of academic and enrichment classes to meet all of your homeschooling needs. We will be displaying our class on Thursday, June 25th from 6:30 - 8:30 PM at Community Christian Church. (Click HERE for a map.) Light refreshments will be served and children are very welcome!
